TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Music is for everyone to learn and enjoy. I teach to share and make music with my students. My goal as a music teacher is to share my experiences and encourage my students to continue their lifelong love of music. Creating, understanding, and listening to a wide variety of music is a gift I hope to give many more students as I continue my career.

MUSIC LESSONS

Piano Lessons for All Ages and Abilities

I offer a range of music lessons and courses for all levels and interests. I bring a wealth of experience to the classroom and enable students to gain a solid understanding in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. To find out more, check out the options below.

MUSIC THEORY CLASS

Learn the basics of music theory.

Music Theory classes are composed to strengthen music skills and basic music fundamentals. Each class students will study basic notation, scales, key signatures, intervals, triads, cadences, non-chord tones, form, part-writing and analysis of a score. Musical examples from a wide variety of styles will be used to put music theory into practice. Theory classes are an excellent addition to regular music lessons.

BEGINNER PIANO LESSONS

Any Age or Experience Level

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED PIANO LESSONS

Classical and Popular Styles

At the intermediate to advanced level piano lesson we survey a wide variety of composers from each of the periods of classical music. Musical and technical considerations are explored to create and enjoy music written by the greatest composers for the piano.

He has been nothing but patient and encouraging, even when one or more was anything but enamored with regular practice, or struggling with a more difficult piece. Along the way, Greg prepared the children for regular recitals, Study Program exams, and TMTA Ensemble. He taught a wide variety of music and allowed the students to work on their own favorite pieces, and even their own compositions. Recently my children gifted me with lessons for Mother’s Day.
